主要工作成就  

 惠永正早期从事物理有机化学研究,系统地研究了糖淀粉及其衍生物作为宿主体系的宿主-客体化学, 随后研究领域扩展到计算机化学和微泡体化学。近年来主要从事微泡体化学和糖化学研究,包括长链、多氟代长链化物的微泡体的性质和生物合功能模拟: 复杂寡糖的化学合成及糖缀合物中糖链与生物功能之间关系的研究。早年曾从事计算机化学和微环境效应研究,曾获全国科学大会奖(1978),中科院科学进步一等奖(1986),国家自然科学三等奖(1988),和中科院发明一等奖(1997)。至今共发表论文71篇。共培养硕士研究生7,博士研究生6名,合作培养博士生8名。
